What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):
1833 Capped Bust Quarter - Doubled Die - O Over F In OF
One major variety of the 1833 Capped Bust Quarter features a doubled die error on the reverse of the coin. In the word "OF" in "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" - part of an underlying "O" is struck on top of the "F". This feature is depicted by the arrows in the example image above. There is also doubling of other letters on the reverse - for instance a weak underlying "A" can be seen just to the right of the primary "A" in "AMERICA".
