What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):
2014-D Enhanced Finish Uncirculated Sacagawea Dollar
The US Denver Mint produced a special 2014-D Sacagawea Dollar with an Enhanced Uncirculated Finish. This coin was part of a currency set which included the golden dollar coin along with a 2013 $1 bill - with only 50000 sets produced. This coin features the Native Hospitality (Native American Series) design on the reverse. The background of both the front and back of the coin have a standard frost finish while a light frost treatment was used on the man and wife on the reverse of the coin. The rest of the design on the back and Sacagawea had the standard uncirculated finish. This is the first time the Enhance Finish treatment was used on the Sacagawea Dollar.
