After nearly 50 years, my personal interest in collecting small, unique items would likely be considered by some that I might be a “compulsive hoarder”.  But to me, as a person who has always been intrigued by American history, being a collector of coins ~particularly older coins~ prompts me to ask the question and imagine “Who else may have had this coin in their pocket or coin purse at some time in history?"

I always had in the back of my mind that I would eventually open a small brick and mortar business when I retired and after a 35 year career in the day-to-day stress of the corporate world, I have come to the conclusion that buying and selling of just about anything from a desk top computer provides a much better opportunity for both the buyer and seller and is much more relaxing and less expensive, with practically the same outcomes.

As collectors of many unique items over the years, COINS are probably at the top of the list and include all types of coins ~ new, old, proofs, rolls, books, bullion and gold.  However, as my wife has lovingly stated (and I agree) “I think it is time that we do something with all this stuff” so and as a very smart man once wrote, "Happy Wife, Happy Life"  We plan to begin this process slowly and liquidate between 65%-75% of the inventory.

On the topic of Grading and Photos: As a coin collector, you know "self-grading" can be very subjective, so we will not attempt to place a numerical grade on any of our older, circulated coins, as some hobbyist might do, but rather, will provide a prospective buyer a simple (AG) (G) (VG) (F) (EF) (AU/AU+) for CIRCULATED COINS. For UNCIRCULATED coins, unless professionally graded and certified, we will provide our BEST opinion as to (UNC 60-68) and other attributes, such as Cam or DCAM or Toned, etc. - but again, this is simply our opinion. 

We will make every effort to capture the best magnified picture of each coin we post, but make no claims to be photography or lighting experts. The only editing we might do is to adjust the exposure or improve the clarity or background so the coin is more visibly accurate.  The coins we post are the coins a buyer will receive, so please look at each coin posted and if you have a legit question, send an email at the address listed. 

And lastly, as mentioned, we are thinning the herd by a very significant level, so please consider all sales as final, unless we make a mistake and send out the wrong item. We will be happy to correct this mistake with a refund or a replacement.
