One major error was the 1843/1843 Seated Liberty Dime error. This coin features the 1843 date stamped over the same 1843 date (RPD - Repunched Date Error). A very slight doubling of the numbers in the date can be seen. One way to identify this is to notice a few parts of the underlying date showing slightly above the primary date. This look like small bumps on each of the numbers in the date and are depicted by the arrows in the example image of the coin above.
