What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.): The 1873 Seated Liberty Dime (with arrows at the date) had a major doubled die obverse (DDO) error. The most prominent feature of the error is the very obvious doubling of the shield under the sitting liberty's hand. Another clue for identifying this coin is a very small part of the "3" from the 1873 being misplaced in the "denticles" of the coin. The denticles are the small tooth-like bumps along the rim of the coin and a very small part of the "3" can be seen between two of the denticles just below the "3" in the 1873 date.
