What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.): One major variety of the 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar features a recut date. The date on the die was recut at some point and moved up higher because it was positioned very low and touching the rim of the coin. This resulted in what looks like a doubled die where parts of the underlying date appearing well below the second strike of the date.
