What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):

One variety is the 1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar which featured a repunched denomination value on the reverse of the coin. The "5" in "50 C." was punched over an underlying "0". This resulted in coins with part of a "0" appearing just to the left of the "5" as depicted by the arrow in the example image above.
