1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent Penny Varieties
There were a few major varieties of the 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent (Penny). All of these varieties bear the wreath design on the reverse of the coin instead of the chain. Typically the obverse features the normal three-leaf trefoil sprig just above the 1793 date. Although one extremely rare variety features a strawberry leaf (4 leaves). This is one of the rarest and most valuable of all US coins as only 4 exist. One of these "strawberry leaf" varieties recently sold for over $10 Million! The difference between the strawberry leaf and the normal leaf is depicted above in the example comparison image.

There are two varieties of the "normal leaf" variety. One has a pattern of vines and vertical bars along the edge of the coin and the other variety has a lettered edge featuring the text/words: "ONE HUNDRED FOR A DOLLAR" followed by 1 or 2 leaves.
