1849/6 (Widely Placed 6) is one of the major overdate varieties of the 1849 Seated Liberty Half Dime. Please note that there is active debate and confusion among experts in the numismatic field on whether this is actually an 1849/8 overdate or 1849/6 overdate error because determining the underlying digit is extremely difficult.
