This variety of the 1858 Seated Liberty Half Dime features an 1858 Repunched Date (RPD) error. The date was initially struck higher up and the second date was struck a little lower. This resulted in an 1858 doubled date with parts of the underlying date still visible within the overlying date as depicted by the arrows in the example image of the coin above.
