1803 Draped Bust Silver Dollar - Proof Restrike
One of the rarest and most valuable coins is the 1803 Proof Restrike Draped Bust Silver Dollar. Only 4 of these coins are known to exist and are part of the rare 1801-1804 proof restrikes intended for prominent collectors. These were produced decades later sometime between the 1850s and 1860s. Each of these coins are worth close to $1 million each in high grade! Source of example image above is courtesy of Heritage Auction Galleries.
