1877 S Seated Liberty Quarters : Horizontal S

What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):

One major variety is the 1877 S/S Seated Liberty Quarter. This is an RPM error where a San Francisco "S" mint mark was struck over a horizontal "S" mint mark. A large part of the underlying "S" can be seen to the left-hand side of the overlying "S" and a small part can sometimes been seen on the bottom-right portion of the overlying "S".
