What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.): The 1824/2 Capped Bust Quarter only had one major variety which also happened to be an overdate error. All quarters of this year had an 1824 date struck over an 1822 date - there were no normal non-error variety. It is difficult to spot the underlying "2" under the "4". The best way to spot it is to notice a very small knob on the bottom-left portion of the "4" as depicted by the arrow in the example image above.
