What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):One major variety is the 1825/2 Capped Bust Quarter. All 1825 quarters have an overdate error but this particular one has an 1825 date struck over an 1822 date which resulted in a "5" stuck over a "2". In addition: This particular variety has a wide date where the numbers are spaced out more.
This variety can sometimes be known as the 1825/4/2 or 1825/4/3 and even 1825/3 as there are a number of different sub-varieties. So comparing the wide date vs close date is often the best way to identify this variety. The wide date is also the rarer and more valuable variety.
