1798 Draped Bust Silver Dollar - Small Eagle Varieties - Difference and Comparison
There were two major varieties of the "Small Eagle" type 1798 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. Both varieties feature the small eagle design on the reverse of the coin. The difference between the two varieties has to do with the number of stars around the liberty bust portrait on the obverse of the coin. One variety features 13 stars and the other features 15 stars. The difference between the 13 stars vs 15 stars varieties is depicted above in the example comparison image.
